DMCA / Copyright Policy

Last updated: June 2025

Our policy

PocketPing respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent legislation in other jurisdictions, we will respond to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement by removing or disabling access to the claimed infringing content.

How to submit a takedown notice

If you believe content stored on PocketPing infringes your copyright, send a written notice to dmca@pocketping.app containing all of the following:

  1. Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it.
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Counter-notice

If you believe content was removed by mistake, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@pocketping.app. Your counter-notice must include your contact details, identification of the removed material and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of a federal court in your district.

Repeat infringers

We will terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of copyright.

Note on PocketPing's design

PocketPing is a private personal inbox — users can only access their own content. If you believe a user has uploaded your copyrighted material to their private account, we will still process a valid DMCA notice and remove the content.
